ALL ABOARD: Sailing aboard the Legend of the Seas

Today’s Travel Diary entry is extra special because I’m currently onboard Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas! (The largest ship at sea…back in May of 2006… but hey, still a classic!

This Freedom-class beauty is packed with adventure, entertainment, and relaxation, making it the perfect way to experience the ultimate cruise getaway!

Why I Love Freedom of the Seas:

*Spacious & Stunning Ship – A massive, beautifully designed vessel with something for everyone! (I’m not a mega-liner cruiser, so this size is just right—Goldilocks approved!)

*The Perfect Mix of Fun & Relaxation – Whether you’re riding the FlowRider like a pro (or wiping out like me), scaling the rock-climbing wall, or just living your best life by the pool, this ship has it all.

*Incredible Dining Options – Giovanni’s Table, Chops Grille, Windjammer… and all the cocktails I can responsibly enjoy.

*Exciting Entertainment & Nightlife – Broadway-style shows, live music, themed parties, and a casino where I donate my money to the slot machines.

*Unforgettable Destinations – On this 8-night cruise, roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, we’re hitting some stunning Caribbean ports:

***St. Maarten – A mix of Dutch & French culture, gorgeous beaches, and duty-free shopping. (We left yesterday, but my wallet still feels it)

***St. Lucia – Home to the breathtaking Pitons, lush rainforests, and jaw-dropping coastlines. (Currently on the island, contemplating moving here forever.)

***St. Kitts – A tropical paradise with rich history, scenic views, and golden beaches. (I always call it “Monkey Island”—because let’s be honest, those little guys are EVERYWHERE! YIKES!)

Ship Life Highlights:

** Balcony Cabin Bliss – If you’re a first-time cruiser, book a balcony! The ocean views, fresh air, and room to sip morning coffee in a robe while feeling fancy? Worth it!

** Shoutout to Mary, my amazing room steward – She keeps my cabin so spotless I feel guilty for existing in it.

** Fitness Center Goals – I’ve been working out daily (to counteract all the cruise food—it’s about balance, right?!).

** Poolside Perfection – Despite a full ship, finding a seat has been easy, and the vibe is top-notch!

The Only Downside? I didn’t win at bingo. It’s fine, I’m fine. There’s always next time… (or so I keep telling myself!)
