PAMROC REWINDS: Rocco’s Love for Winter Adventures: A Soul on Skis
Some people endure winter—Rocco chases it.
Since middle school, I have had a love affair with the great outdoors, especially when it’s wrapped in a blanket of snow. For him, skiing isn’t just a sport—it’s a full-body meditation, a wild connection to nature, and a personal journey that begins the moment his boots click into his skis.
It’s not about the speed (okay, sometimes it is). It’s about the feeling—the stillness at the summit, the crunch of fresh powder underfoot, the rush of wind as he carves down a run surrounded by towering trees and snow-draped silence. It’s his way of pressing pause on the world.
Over the years, I have followed the snow wherever it calls—chasing elevation and adrenaline across some of North America’s most epic mountain ranges:
- New England – where it all began on charming hometown slopes
- Colorado – with its breathtaking altitude and challenging terrain
- Utah – home of that dreamy, legendary powder
- Montana – raw, wild, and wildly underrated
- Quebec – snowy forests and European vibes
- British Columbia – vast, majestic, and humbling
Each destination has left its own mark—on my skis, my soul, and my endless thirst for new trails. But don’t think I am done. Nope—there are more peaks to conquer, more hidden gems to discover, and more mornings to wake up to a world painted white.
The mountains are my sanctuary. The snow? My playground. My therapy. My art.
